Extended Day Option

Extended Day 2:30 pm- 5:30 pm school days.

New for 2026-2027, Metropolitan Nursery School will offer extended day to our currently enrolled students. Children enrolled in our longer day program, ending at 2:30 pm daily, can extend their child’s day to 5:30 pm. Pick up from Extended day can be any time between 2:30 and 5:30 pm.

Our Extended Day program, staffed by our Metropolitan teachers and assistant teachers, will provide children with a more relaxed afternoon setting. A typical afternoon in extended day will include:

• Afternoon snack time.

• Story Time

• Games/Puzzles/Coloring

• Free Play both in the classroom and outside.

While these after-school hours will add to a child’s chance to practice school based learning and social skills, it will also be a smaller, quieter environment designed to offer children a chance relax, play, and be cared for after the busy morning in the regular classroom.
