Cultivating Connections: Conversation with Lindsay White

As always, we are here to help you navigate the next steps after Metropolitan. This is a Virtual Event! Wednesday, September 22 at 9:30am with Lindsay White from The School Counseling Group. She will be answering high level questions like: What is the process for applying to elementary schools? How do I determine if the school is the right fit for my child? How do I narrow ALL these schools down? How many should I apply to? What have been the most common or notable mistakes parents make in their selection of a school or in the application process? Bring your own questions as well!

Please join us on Wednesday, September 22 at 9:30am via this zoom link

This session will not be recorded but we will take notes that we will distribute.

After this zoom event, we will send a survey to find out which schools you are interested in and will put you in touch with current (or former) MNS parents whose older children attend those schools.

Feel free to attend this zoom even if you have younger children--it is never too early to start thinking about this process.

Lindsay White joined The School Counseling Group in 2009. Lindsay is a native of Pennsylvania and attended both public and independent schools before attending high school at Garrison Forest School in Baltimore as a boarder. After graduating from St. Lawrence University, NY, with a B.A. in Sociology and English, Lindsay worked briefly in advertising and then earned an M.A. in School Counseling from New York University and is a nationally certified School Consultant(IECA), and she has extensive experience working in a variety of educational communities and counseling settings serving both as a school counselor and admission representative.  Most recently, Lindsay worked in the admissions office at the Maret School. Previously, she was the Director of Counseling at The Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA for four years, and was a counselor at East Manhattan Outreach School for two years. Combining her counseling background and her experience in admissions allows Lindsay to guide families through the school admissions process with confidence.  It is Lindsay’s goal to bring organization and direction to what can often be a stressful situation by taking the time to understand the personality and needs of each student and family she supports.  As a parent, counselor and an Independent School graduate, Lindsay knows how important it is to find the right fit for your child.
